Choose us for all of your deck restoration, deck cleaing, sealing needs. We have several crews that have years of experience to satisfy your deck repair needs. Our company handles all customers with the best customer service in the deck maintance industry. We have serviced over 10,000 decks coming into this year. We have maintained hundred of the same decks for over 12 years. There is a reason we service over 600 repeat customers year upon year. Why hire a guy that does it on the side and collects all of or half of the money up front and never shows up OR WORSE uses a deck stain that is impossible to remove like BEHR from Home depot. We use contractor friendly deck care products like TWP or Olypic that are easiey removed. Decks are all we do. Rainbow playsets refinishing is another popular option with home owners. If you have any questions feel free to comment, we are here to help.

Do you guys use the Trex contours line? I have a lumber yard that will give it to me next to nothing. Does it need to be sealed like the trex because of the mold issue.

When a typical deck is built the best side is usually placed up. Typical crown goes down in most cases though. So, many of the underside boards look worse to begin with. The floors usually rot from the bottom up from what we have seen. Especially where they are over the joist and traps the moisture. The floor board do need to be spaced so they can breathe and dry out. Most deck floors usually last 20-30 years these days. Older decks prior to 1985 lasted up to 40 years. They was harvested from older trees and cotained less sapwood.

All the treated wood is garbage at the box stores. They usually carry Yellow pine, a fast growing tree with a lot of sapwood and warping. Plus it is stored inside, once it is moved to the outside elements it turns into a pretzel. The cedar wood they stock is good though. Notice the pressure treated wood especially the 5/4x6 is only 1" thick. Patio decking 5/4x6 at the lumber yards measures a true 1.25" thick. Once again they cut corners to cut price. You really do get what you pay for. I would question any deck contractor that is getting his treated decking at home depot or Lowes. We even see other contractors using common nails on the deck, which is another topic. Remember, If you are hiring a contractor to install a deck or do deck repairs---MAKE SURE HIS IS QUALIFIED--ASK FOR A LICENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What if all the floor boards on my cedar deck look like the underside is rotted and the top looks pretty good. I stain the deck every other year. How long do decks in michigan last?
